It is the crumbled block of marble what captures my energy. The energy held in the material it self, what hallows a new form. These, together, allow the artwork to find a breath of life and to show its identity.
FEATURED WORKS
At the base of Giuseppe D’Angelo stylistic path is a diversified research on the human figure representation. The artist purposely chooses a redundant aesthetic where form plays a central role. Its plasticity is exalted by the material abundance on the exterior and on the interior by those symbolic contents, hidden in the matter itself.

BEYOND FORM
D’Angelo manipulates precious materials such as marble, gemstones and hard stones. He reduces and crumbles them in order to sediment them again like in a mosaic. Each single element has a different shape and dimension which is recomposed with the others in order to recompose again the shape of a human face. Hence, the viewer is required to stop for few minutes to read the artwork in its full power.
